Email help needed

Problem 1.
I have a BB Torch and cannot get onto my email.
I have a BB account registered with my service provider.
I keep getting a message saying that my username/password is incorrect but it is not, when I try to register my Hotmail account.

Any ideas please?

Problem 2.
When I had an Iphone, I could access my work emails through the web on Outlook webmail but when I try to access on my BB through the internet all I get is HTML code but no readable mail. I know my work email cannot be accessed through the normal BB access as my work will lock down my BB if I ask them to give me access but surely I can get in through webmail?

Any ideas please?

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?

BlackBerrys do OWA mail access with aplomb. If yours is not working you have a configuration error. Or you don't have a BlackBerry data plan.

Hotmail can be problematic at times.

I suggest that you log into your carrier's BIS site and delete the email account that is coausing trouble (i.e. hotmail) and the add it again with the correct user name and password. Then resend the service books.

OK Guys, I've trird resetting my account but still no luck with email.

I will take my BB to my service provider on Tuesday and ask them to sort this.

OWA. Should my BB just show this or do I need to have an app? All I get is HTMK code when I use my browser to access my email account.

If you company allows access to the email servers via OWA then it should show via the browser. Not the best method on a cell phone. the display is hard to see all the data.

One question you answered was on the data plan. You do realize the Blackberry data plan is different from the standard cell phhone data plan. A lot of people get blackberrys from providers without realizing they have the wrong plan only to find it just a cell plan. This stops all internet and email access. It might be worth checking and make sure.

It is a BB data plan, and I get normal internet access on it. I just get HTML code when I try to access OWA. When I had my IPhone I could see the OWA perfectly.

Are you using the BB browser or the "hotspot" browser?
