I recently installed OS 6 on my 9700. When I tried to install "Blackberry Protect" I receive an error message that it cannot be installed on phones connected to an enterprise server. I'm connected to a plain old AT&T server. Can anyone help?

What do you mean by "plain old AT&T server"?
Sounds like the device is or was on BES.

It was never on a BES Server. I am a regular AT&T private customer. I am not part of any organization that provides an Enterprise Server.

I had this issue (I'm on Rogers) with a BIS data plan. After updating to OS 6 on my Bold 9700, I tried it and the error message I received was that it was not compatible. I tried it a few minutes later and for some reason, it started to install and has worked since.

I bought the 9700 new almost 2 years ago. It's worked flawlessly until I upgraded to OS6

I also have this problem although I bought a used Verizon Bold 9650. I can't install BB Protect cuz it keeps on saying I'm on BES while I use BIS. Is there anyway I can remedy this? Thanks
