"Checking for Updates" - Email setup

Hi guys and girls

Ive finished playing with my phone and the only thing i can't do is link up my email address

I got to SETUP - then EMAIL SETTINGS and then the screen goes white with CHECKING FOR UPDATES" and just stays like that untill i end it

any ideas??? doing my head in!

Make sure you have good 3G coverage when you're doing this.

What network are you on? From your profile looks like you're on Vodafone in UK. Then an alternative is to setup your e-mail online through your desktop computer by following this link:

I presume you don't already have an account there, so click on Create New Account and follow the steps to setup your e-mail.
