And so, now the truth comes out. The 8700g, the first version to be officially unveiled publicly last year, and the best looking version IMHO, is coming to O2. That's just great...
FOR ME TO POOP ON!!! :-P

I wish RIM would hurry up and unveil the 8700"t" (T-Mobile version, I'm just guessing on the letter designation based on prior models) and the Verizon version (8700"v"? 8730"e"? Some other designation?!?) so we could see what they're going to look like. :-(

What about EDGE? :oops:Like all GSM 8700s, it should be EDGE-enabled. Sadly, however, the GSM 8700s do not appear to be HSDPA (3G network) enabled, which really sucks if you're a Cingular customer. :-(

Since my last post, I've found out that *supposedly* T-Mobile USA will be carrying the 8700g. Hopefully they'll keep it black, instead of changing it to some goofy color. *knocks on wood*

The 8700g from T-Mobile will not be black, it will be dark blue.

The 8700g from T-Mobile will not be black, it will be dark blue. That's just rubbish! }=(

I'm also hearing that's what they've done, color-wise, with the 8700r for Rogers. And yet, in the hi-res photos of the 8700g released a few months back, it is very clearly black. I guess that's the O2 version... Which means that if I want a black 8700g, I'll have to find a way to buy an unlocked O2 8700g. Absolute rubbish. :-(
