OK - that error message means you have not configure BBWeather yet.

Open BB Weather. Click the wheel and select options.
Add a profile, which is the location for the weather

Save and close. No more error message.

Try deleting BBWeather (Options / Applications - find BBWeather, click the wheel and select Delete) and then readd it.

Use your local zip for the location, should solve your problem(s).

You're not alone. I wish it took airport identifiers too....

I have tried BBWeather on my 7130e, and now on my 8703e, and both times it was a frustrating experience trying to install and run BBWeather. I stayed with the weather plugin included in PocketDay Pro, so you may want to try it:

PocketDay (http://www.crossriversystems.com/PocketDayBB.htm)

It will cost you, but then again you will get a Program that works well, plus you gain the benefit of PocketDay Pro itself.

I've installed and deleted BBweather twice already... it still just locks up every time I open it, with the "No profiles" error. Has anyone had any success is fixing this?

You need to add Profiles or areas you want to check the weather on, i.e. your hometown, etc.

What model of BB are you using? If you're using the Pearl then when that error comes up about "no weather profiles" just click the Pearl button ONLY. DO NOT PUSH ANY OTHER BUTTONS. Push the Pearl button again and the menu should come up to add profiles. If you are using another model BB then push the trackwheel in place of the Pearl.

Did you disable the MDS Proxy in "Options?"

I have a curve and as soon as I start the software, it locks up, it doesn't give me an opportunity to press any buttons. It just says Error:No weather profiles specified.

I've already deleted and reinstalled.

Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

There are quite a few threads on this. When it says no profiles specified don't touch any buttons. Press the Trackball once then press it again. Now you can add profiles.

OK, this might be really obvious to some, but you might want to mention that after you hit the trackball the second time and are in BBWeather Options menu, then you hit the Menu key to add the profile. I was so tired of locking up my BB before I found your post that I tried all variations using only the trackball!
