Anti-Virus?

I searched the forums and Google but really couldn't find anything solid on av software for BlackBerrys. Does a market exist? If so, who are the major players.

I dont think there currently is a market for AV on BlackBerries. I know there are a few companies out there that offer it, but they seem more like scams and spreading the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt). As far as I know, the is no known virus that effects the BlackBerry handheld itself.

I think i remember reading that there was no software because most viruses were windows or mac based. And since RIM used a different software, there wasnt currently any viruses. Don't know if that is true, my memory isnt what it used to be, hence the reason for the bb.
