Whatsapp not seeing my international contacts!

I have whatsapp installed and I am located in Melbourne, Australia with Vodafone. My international contacts are all put in with country codes and it won't see any of them. It only sees contacts that are within australia. People globally if they have my number can message me. What is the issue here and anyone know of a fix??

I have a bold 9650.
