E-mail clarity

I apologise if this is the wrong forum for this or if it is a really dumb question but.
I have just been given a blackberry for work. I do not know the exact model number but I think it is a curve.
I need reading glasses but frequently do not have them when working on site. I have changed the settings on my phone for largest font. Reversed the colour scheme si it is White text on a black background. This helps but the font has only got bigger on the e-mail title not the body.
Is there a setting to actually make the e-mail body text larger?

If you changed the font size in the device options, it should alter the email body as well. The only thing that occurrs to me is maybe you are looking at html email, and perhaps that is not being affected. Could that be it?

Agh yes probably. It would be probably governed by the firms e-mail settings. So I think I am buggered

Open the email, then select 'get plain text' from the menu. See what happens.
