7100g Problem

I just got the 7100g just the other day and the thing freezes up. I can get it to work for a little bit with random buttons held in but it never works properly. Any ideas on what the problem could be. Even after a hard reset the thing still won't work. i have a password set for the phone and the scroll wheel will work but the button part won't work. I'm stuck!! Any help would be great, Thanks

What version of OS are you running on your unit?

It would be the new one cause I just got it but I can't check for sure because I can't get the thing to operate of course..I think it is the latest 4.04 or something like that

Earlier this morning I could just hold the power button along with the talk and end button and somehow it would unfreeze but I can't get it to do anything now after multiple hard resets
