Again, unable to perform back-up and sync because of 0x80040fb3 error.

As per prior posts, I checked the few contacts that had more than one email and deleted the second email.

Multiple synch attempts over a period of days and the hang-up is always contact # 1624 in MS Outlook. I sorted my contacts several ways. How can I identify which contact that is, so I can delete or fix it?

Thanks.

Did you look at the log in desktop manager. Wondering if might give you more info.

I think if it were me I would use desktop manager to selectively delete the address book database on the handset and then re-sync.

Thanks for your suggestion. Before I delete the contacts from the handset, please remind me how to view the log.

If you are running the latest desktop manager version, look near the top right and click to drop down the menu. Click support resources, and then organizer sync log. You probably need to be connected to the BlackBerry to be able to click and open the log.

If you are not running the latest version of desktop manager, upgrading would be a good troubleshooting step.

I looked at the log and did not notice anything that would cause a problem.

Last November I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with a Blackberry specialist who resolved a problem for me with my contacts.

I sent him an email to ask for his help.

Just noticed that a contact I deleted from Outlook, because of more than one email, and then attempted to add, may be the problem.

It is in my BB, but I am unable to open the record to see what info is there.

How do I get rid of this contact from BB? I already deleted it from Outlook.

Don't know why more than one email address would be a problem. I have contacts with two and three email addresses in my address book.

If you can't open that contact you are thinking of on the BlackBerry, that makes me think even more that deleting the addressbook database and re-sync'ing is the solution.
