Warning - New Bb Desktop Software

I have just downloaded this update. It has wiped my Blackberry Torch 9800 completely clean. Don't do the same!

Could you provide some additional, useful, information? Such as what update you're talking about, what EXACTLY what you did and what happened?

As devnull states, this is pretty vague and, as such, not believable.

Sorry to be "kinda vague"
1. I opened Blackberry Desktop.
2. I was prompted to download Software Version 6.0 Bundle 2949
3.I did this
4.Software downloaded and BB device rebooted.
5. All info. Contacts, emails, password keeper, contacts etc (sorry about the kinda vague etc.)
6. Syncing again with MS Outlook regained my contacts and calendar
7 I had to restore my email connections and WiFi.

Hope this helps. That's all I was trying to do.

1. It sounds like you updated the DEVICE software NOT the DESKTOP software.
2. You should ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS do a manual backup prior to doing ANY OS update.
3. The update process most likely created a backup with the name LoaderBackup(Date).ipd with you can restore the data to the device.
