Hi,

Could someone tell me how many emails a BB can revive in a day or per hour?

I have a user on BES Express with approx 800-1000 emails per day

He is constantly informing us that his BB is not Syncing, the other 30 odd users are all OK.

We have tried all the usual, restarts, hard restarts, sending policy, service books, re-activating, forums the works.

Please also not his Exchange mailbox is approx 50Gb!!

Any help would be great.

Thanks

There is no limit on emails he can get. The only limit is memory and data throughput.

I would first check how much memory is free on the device.

Then you have to instruct the user that his Blackberry can't hold 50 GB of mails (even if attachments are stripped). I would also stop redirection for any folders he doesn't need and enable the deletion of mails oder than 30 days.

thats a lot of email

we have a heavy users here with a 15 gig mailbox that has no issue on BES 4.1.7

40+ emails per hour isnt that much, but reconcile might not work well with that many emails.

Set the message state database size to the maximum ( 1000 )
Change the size of the message state database - Administration Guide - BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange - 5.0.1 (http://docs.blackberry.com/en/admin/deliverables/12107/Change_size_of_msg_state_dbase_597112_11.jsp)

Then press the reload user button.
and check if this makes a difference.
