I'm new to Windows Server, Exchange Server and the BES and have a quesiton on the Windows CALs needed. I'm developing an app that only uses MDS push and access to an internal web site - no e-mail will be sent to/viewed from the BB. From what I've read so far, I need to assign these units a mailbox in Exchange to associate the PIN to, and they will need a BB CAL, but will they need or use a Windows CAL or will they slide in under the BES/MDS access somehow? Their exchange mailbox will essentially be a dummy as no mail will ever be sent to it.

Thanks

Maybe not a Windows CAL, but I think an Exchange CAL. The Microsoft License structure is not always easy, ask your supplier.

Hi Stonent, did you ever get a reply from Dell about this issue? We are trying to do the same thing but on SBS 2003.
