Troubleshooting a Sprint 7250. Data signal is 1x instead of 1X. No big deal, I hit Start Provisioning but get the following error message 'Provisioning Failed (error 1012)'. This is a new one for me, anyone have any ideas on what to do.

Is the BB setup with a BB data plan? Doesn't seem like it...

d_fisher,

The small "X" means it has no data connection.

Make sure that the phone has blackberry service on it. It will not provision until that is on your account. You can take to a store and have them provision it with there computers.

I know 1x mean no data service. The phone does work just fine. With Sprint phones you go to Options > Network > Start Provisioning. This normally provisions the BlackBerry to be able to work on the data network. The BlackBerry should have a data plan already. Just troubleshooting this error message before spending half a morning on hold with Sprint. I will have the BlackBerry in a remote techs hands on Monday so I will report back what we find out.

Take it to the store and have them provision it through the tech computer! I works everytime.
