Ultimatly what we want is to have a Blackberry (or blackberry like device) that can work globaly.

So my question is, can the samsung i830 work w/ the BES?

We are using Verizon and it does not seem that Verizon has a Blackberry that can work Globaly.

Any help would be great, our Engineers have been driving me NUTS with this.

Thanks

I find it very hard to believe that Verizon doesn't have a BlackBerry that can be used gloablly. In that case I would think the issue is Verizon and not BlackBerry.

We have many 7290's / 7100s / 8700s with Cingular that our employees use all the time when they travel to other countries. We've never had a problem.

Cingular have. The BlackBerry 7100g and the BlackBerry 7290 are quad bands.

Superior Domestic and International Coverage
850 MHz
900 MHz
1800 MHz
1900 MHz

The Verizon BlackBerries are CDMA, they will never work outside of NA. Find a carrier that has a GSM network.

Yeah your out of luck with Verizon. They actually have a program where you can rent a vodaphone phone / blackberry.

We have use pretty much every vendor on the planet and have good luck with cingular and t - mobile when roaming. Overseas most users choose Orange.
