OK, I've read everything I can on the various e-mail options with Blackberry; e.g. BWC, BES, Redirector, including the great FAQ. I'm trying out a 7100t (T-Mobile, of course) and HAD planned to do the following: use the Desktop Redirector to send my corporate (Lotus Notes) e-mail to my @<hidden> address, then the BWC would forward to my handheld. Why? Well, I wan't too comfortable with getting Notes to forward e-mail and thought this would be the best way, preserving reply options, etc. (the machine on which the Redirector would be installed will be my work PC, on 24 hours/day).

When I installed the Redirector it asked for a Server address; don't have a BES so I left it blank but the Redirector won't operate, says there is no on-line connection to my E-Mail system. It asks for and accepts my Notes password when it starts but simply tells me the Blackberry server has been incorrectly specified, etc.

So my questions are: is there any advantage to having the Redirector send e-mails right to the handheld or can it be used to send to the BWC? Are you supposed to connect the handheld to the computer for the Redirector to work or do the messages I'm receiving indicate the Redirector can't find Lotus Notes?

I know, read the manual, but even after visiting the Blackberry site I'm a bit confused as to what I need to do to get the Redirector installed.

Thanks for any info.
