After getting an email and viewing the attachment, I understand it uses data to view it. Does forwarding the attachment or re-viewing it after it was saved use the same amount of data as if you opened it for the first time?

thanks

When you receive the email that has the attachment, the attachment does not come with the email although the BB knows that there is one. When you view the attachment (retrieve full content), a request gets sent to download the attachment. Depending on the size of the attachment, it may or may not all be downloaded. This is indicated in a percentage at the top right when viewing the attachment. Whatever you download is stored in the attachment cache until new attachment data overwrites it. The size of your cache can be viewed by clicking the trackwheel at the screen just after you click open attachment in the email (where you retrieve the full content).

Forwarding should use no more data than the text in the email. The attachment is not coming from you bb but from your email account.
