After upgrading to 4.0, my 7510 no longer automatically recognizes a telephone number that is in the bottom section of an address listing. With version 3, if a contact had, say, more than one cellular number, I could list the second one in the notes section of an Outlook 2003 contact file. After synching, it would show up at the bottom of the address on the 7510, and when I scrolled to it after opening the address file, the number would be recognized and highlighted by the software as a telephone number and it could be dialed from there. Since updating to version 4, the telephone numbers are no longer highlighted and cannot be dialed from the address view. Can anyone help with this? It was great being able to list many numbers with a single address file and dial them directly from the address view.

I hope my question and situation description make sense.

Thanks,
Chris

Does the recognition works for phone numbers inside emails?

Check your Phone Options->Smart Dialing and make sure the area code is correct and "national number length" is right.. (Mine is 10)

BTW, you can add many phone numbers to the address entry without using the notes section.
