Is the 7130e compatible with Microsoft's Streets & Trips with GPS Software?

This is a question better suited for a Microsoft forum. But to answer your question, NO. See the system requirements HERE (http://www.microsoft.com/streets/SystemRequirements.aspx?pid=001).

What exactly are you wanting? The 7130e is not a GPS capable BlackBerry.

The 7130 is GPS capable but Verizon disables it.

If you are going to take the time to flame someone, just help the guy/gal out and quit being a jerk. Maybe you were picked on back in 4th grade for being the last kid to be chosen for kick-ball but that does not entitle you to pass on your pain and anger to others. Look for better ways to build your self worth.

Yes... I've noticed that many internet forums have these type users which tend to ooze elitism, and rather than helping someone out, they try and be 'cool' and develop an attitude. It's juvenile, and speaks to the maturity of the person writing the message. My guess is acgarcia is likely under the age of 23 and his 'tough guy' attitude is merely him compensating for other areas in his real life which are lacking... Either help the guy out, or don't reply.

Is the 7130e compatible with Microsoft's Streets & Trips with GPS Software? If you just need graphical maps only, the easiest free solution is "Google Local", available at:

To All BlackBerryForums members: Personally, I believe in answering questions if it's quick and easy to do so like the above. Please, less search nitpicking, and more answering questions if it only requires a one-sentence response. I totally understand that the search results are sometimes ambigious sometimes. Too much flaming is going on in this thread. Please stop it. If a thread annoys you, please ignore the thread. Let the moderators nitpick or let some other friendly volunteer answer the question.

If the 7130e isnt GPS compatible, then why does it say "Location Based Services ON/OFF" and the GPS indicator lights up, you have the choice to set it for LOCATION ON or 911 ONLY.
That would make a non blackberry genius assume it has GPS features, and RIMS' site says its GPS compatabile.

Without question IT IS capable of GPS...You need the proper equipment to enable it...

Is there a way to enable it on the Sprint version?

Why do these companies put the features in the phones then, just to tease you, the nextels have it built in and it works pretty darn good, whats so complicated about putting the same components into the blackberrys with verizon, just frustrating, maybe gps wasnt meant to be with me..
