i get some text messages and they come up but i have no clue on how to find out who sent them is there a program i can use to find out who sent these?

If you can see the phone number of the sender, search the 3rd party apps forum for "reverse lookup". Other than that, try pressing your trackwheel, click reply, and type " who are you?". That works just as well.
