Deleting multiple emails and screening addresses

Is there a way to select multiple email messages at once for deletion instead of individually opening and deleting emails.
Also - is there a way to mark email addresses as "blocked" so as not to receive messages from them again (I get a lot of junk mail and it is laborious to delete them individually).

Dont' take it as a flame but the two terms you apparently need to learn...

This one you now know.. SEARCH but take a look at this other one...

FILTERS... they are your friend. Use the 1st term above and put the 2nd term in it...It will show you wonderous things to save time, agrivation and data usage.
