I recently went back to a 7250 on Verizon.
I purchased the phone from Ebay, it is activated and working perfectly.
I believe it is software version 4.1.268
There are newer version I would like to upgrade to that are available via the blackberry web site.
I have been unsuccessful trying to do this on windows (7) and (10) pro.
Has anyone tried to do something similar?
Any suggestions?

Thank You.

How are you doing the update? Over the air or via a file downloaded to a PC?

The phone is older and there are some issues with upgraded OS for the phone.
You might want to research before upgrading if the phone works well now.

Do an internet search.

Was it even possible to update OTA on that OS? I don't know anymore, but I don't think so.

I think your only option (maybe) is to connect with the BlackBerry Desktop Software and see if it presents an upgrade. So far as I know, the other options that were available back in the day are no longer available. As tsac wrote, you can research and try links, but don't get your hopes up.

And as tsac wrote, if the device is working ok now for you, your best approach is probably leave it alone.

I was attempting to do this via a PC.
This model did not offer an OTA option.
I forgot about Blackberry desktop software, I have to give that a try.
The purpose was to take advantage of any later features that would be available.
Thanks for the reply's.

Just an FYSA if needed: Be aware of software version versus OS version. Typically you will go by the OS version, and on the forums users go by OS version. You should be able to search and find out the latest OS version released for that model. Back in the day you could obtain and install OS versions released by other carriers, and there are instructions on these forums. But the desktop software will only give you the latest OS released by the carrier brand of the device.

Just a thought, If you do download any software be sure it is from a valid source and not a fake or something that will cause problems like viruses do.
An internet review of the site will help.
