Can't Send E-mail

I inherited a Blackberry from work, and I'm having some issues.

Specs:

Model 7280,
Version 4.0.0,
Platform 1.6.1.48

Problem:

I can't initiate mail from my Blackberry.

I can however:-

Receive e-mail
Reply to e-mail that I have already received
Forward e-mai that I have already recieved

Any ideas how to complete the picture?

Go to Options > Security > scroll down to Services > press scroll wheel and select Regenerate Encryption Keys. This might work for you if your on BES. If not, then you wont see the Services section.
