Is it worth 20$ for a year of free unlimted ringtones

Are there such things as free ringtone sites or are the "quality" ringtones are pay?

You might want to checkout the Ringtones, Themes, and Wallpapers (http://www.blackberryforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=54) forum. For one thing it is more appropriate for this question. And I don't think paying for ringtones makes any sense at all.

Hope this helps.

I have, all that I use are customized voice based ringtones, made using a free text to speach site that was recommended by lgreenberg in the referenced forum.

It was an AT&T Research site. I would post the link, but I'm posting from my BB and the link is on my laptop. Search the Ringtones, Themes, and Wallpapers (http://www.blackberryforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=54)
Forum for custom voice. The link posted there may be broken but it will give you a startinjg point for googling. Or you might google AT&T text to speach demo.

Hope this helps.

$20 could seem cheap to some people who are technically-challenged, so it may be worth the money for some. However, if any person would take the time to search and read and research, then it should not be that hard to make your own ringtones and download them.

Well said jibi, and there are some very good instructions on the referenced forum that I think even the technically challenged could follow to find a free software package for making their own and a lot of people ready to help if there are any problems.

Here is the link. (http://www.research.att.com/projects/tts/demo.html)

Had to come to the Laptop to report a problem using the BB, so thought I would save everyone a search.

Hope this helps.

That ringtone subscription may be the only way to get ringtones for the 7100i, *if* it even supports the i model like it says.
