View Full Version : Why do alarms wake up my BB

When I choose full power off, why do certain alarms wake it up. I have auto-on off enabled. So when I hit the power button, I get a choice of power off or full power off and it tells me the next scheduled wake up time. Sometimes I just want it to be completely off and I am surprised to wake up to an alarm in the middle of then night. These are usually calendar entries that someelse at my firm has scheduled and they did not do it right. The manual p87 says it shouldn't wake up with full power off. I think this may be a bug- does anyone else experience it?

Yes, I have experienced the same thing. Full power off and alarm went off the other morning. Very annoying.

I hope my upgrade to .284 fixed that.

I think these modern electronic devices the only true power off is if you pull the battery.

I experience this too. It's very annoying. I sometimes turn the BB off during movies as an extra precaution (as opposed to vibrate or silent). And then it turns back on if I have some reminder set up or a voicemail message. Dumb feature. Off should be off.

It used to annoy me like it was nobodys business but now I've learned to deal with it. Now I don't really care lol.

You could set the phone to the silent profile, right? Then you wouldnt have a problem with the alarm

Even MORE Zen. .284 appears to have fixed this issue for me.
