Security Upgrade? 8700c

Did something happen in the trial today that caused a security update on my blackberry? At about 4:30 EST, I got locked out of my BB, and I could not shut it off or use it. After about 2 minutes of pushing buttons it came back up, is this common?

If you are on a BES, then your administrators likely pushed policy to it. If not, then its likely just something with the handheld itself.

Turns out the security update which is consistantly happening on my phone is part of the work around.

That would be the workaround that by 4:30PM EST yesterday was no longer necessary. Ok...

I sense sarcassm, so let me explain. According to Cingular, any OS issues had to be forwarded to BB themselves. According to BB, a security update was sent out, which was part of the workaround, but definatly a security update they sent out that would benifit 8700 users. They could just be BS'ing me though...
