I am on TMO right now...

Should i just go for the 8700c unlock it and use it on the network or should I wait...for TMO...

Obviously there will be a differnce in color...but is there a difference in operating system...is it worth the wait?

What are you using now? If you're reasonably satisfied with it, wait for the TMO version. If not, get a c and unlock it as you said. I have a Treo 650 which works well enough for me to wait, but not well enough for me not to replace it when the 8700t comes out :)

I think T-Mobile will launch BB8700 next week.

The only difference will be the color, so if the color matters to you, then wait, if not, get the Cingular and unlock it. Depending on the plans that you have, your contract status, pricing will be different as well and wouldn't be all that simple to calculate.

From looking at pictures of the 8700c and the UK 8700t it looks like another difference is the shape of the case on the front at the bottom along with the shapes of some of the keys at the bottom of the keypad, such as the space bar and the keys on either side of it.

You mean, it will have 802.11b/g built in? Where did you get this information? First I've heard of it...

Hmm, you're right but I think those are minor cosmetic differences (as with the colour). I doubt the key play will be much different.
