Ramble IM problem - receive but no send

I installed Ramble IM on my unlocked 7100g with T-Mobile. I can send IMs but cannot receive any in return. My buddies see my messages and reply, but I don't see their replies. I don't hear anything either when they sign on or off, even though the settings are set to "tone."

Any ideas from anyone as to what the problem might be? I searched the forums and didn't find anyone with a similar problem.

Strange -- I switched themes today and then went back to the one I usually use. I noticed the font style had changed in Ramble and both send and receive are now working! Now if I can just figure out how to set the audible tone when the BB is in Vibrate mode....
