Just ordered my 8700 from Cingular and am looking to get a nice vertical / pouch case. I've been searching through this forum and read/seen most case reviews. However, one that I am interest in is the Krusell vertical case. Does anyone have this and/or can comment on it? It can be found here.

I am interested in this since it has removable / switchable belt clips and seems to provide good protection all around. The other that I am interest in is the Gizmo case but from what I've read here I think they still may be suffering some quality control issues.

Why are you not going to use the plastic holster that comes with 8700 ?

Ah. You mean the handy launching device designed to throw the handheld to the floor at inconvenient moments, like getting in and out of a car, walking, breathing, etc.?

Yes, as already stated, I don't think the plastic holster provides much protection and can easily allow the unit to fall out. I commute into work via train, so I need to be sure that my blackberry is on me at all times without me having to check it constantly. A pouch type gives me much more security/piece of mind than the plastic holster would.

As far as my original question, anybody have any experience with it? Is it even 8700 specific?

Didn't I tell you David?

The answer is no. It's a universal PDA case. It has no sleeper magnet. Does it hold the 8700c well? Sure. But in my opinion there are better vertical pouch options. Specfically the Fortte, Nutshell or RIM.

I've reviewed them all.

RIM OEM Pouch (http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=27652&highlight=hands)

Nutshell (http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=24175&highlight=fortte)

Fortte (http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=23264&highlight=fortte)

I took the Krussel vertical off since it's not specific for that case. Check out the case link.

You removed it from the review page?

That's a mistake.

It's advertised for the 8700c and does work for the 8700c.

You need to remove the Krusell vertical then since it's also a universal case.

Again, not something I think you should do though. They are both still options for everyone. Not everyone requires a case that has a sleeper magnet.

When you search 8700c on their site no vertical comes up.

I am confused?

It's a univeral case. The 8700c does fit it right? It's just meant for the 8700c alone since it has no sleeper magnet.

What did they say about the horizontal case? That's the same deal.
