View Full Version : 7130e processor too slow for PW protection?

I've had this device now for 2 weeks and generally am enjoying it.

One problem: I use Password protection to keep the content secure in the event that it gets lost or stolen. I used to do this with my 7250 as well.

It seems though that the 7130e just can't handle the load. More than half the calls that come in when the device is holstered get lost because the damn thing spends too much time "thinking" before I get a screen allowing me to answer. Even when no call is coming in it often takes 10 seconds to cycle through the password entry screen, and then into the main menu... That gets pretty tedious when I'm on and off it all day.

I get plently of lag when I play brickbreaker and the wireless is on as well...

I like the device but am not thrilled with the processor. I've had to remove PW protection to make the performance satisfactory - not cool.

Anyone else?

Enabling the password by itself shouldn't cause any performance issues. Did you also turn on Content Protection as well? Contect Protection can cause performance issues due to the constant encryption/decryption of the data.
