P.S. I certainly don't consider myself a "noob" Jase88.

Besides I'm not sure what level of importance "Blackberry knowledge" is required to moderator a forum. I'm not saying my level isn't high but moderating generally involves making sure the rules of the forum are being properly followed. It's up to the community as a whole to take care of the topics.

In any event I think I've done my best and shown I can hold my own in most discussions.

No offense to LGreenberg, but he is a BB-noob. Certainly there are far more knowledgeable and experienced folks on this board?

There are several reasons, and I go through some of the members posts before deciding on them.

1. lgreenberg has been nothing but nice to people in his posts, which is very important to us.

2. He has shown a very strong interest in the subject (bb's) and shows that he enjoys participating in this community (700 posts in under 4 months)

3. Shows his appreciation for this community by providing us with case reviews, etc.

I don't follow.................. :oops: You like your cases for your BB so much that I was making fun of it by telling you of a case I am developing to sell you that will be like the Emperor's new clothes in the children's tale, where he was walking around naked and everyone was ooing and aaaing over his new clothes. So my case would be the same (nothing) but it would make your BB shine and everyone would oooh and aaaaah over it. Then after you endorse it with a raving review I would be in business, 29.99 with shipping included.

otherwise there's no other reason to pick a BB-NOOB to be a super whatever ..i guess you just have to know the right people or kiss a** real well, or be able to say..SEARCH, SEARCH, SEARCH, or maybe buy a bunch of cases for 1 phone and talk about them..

Guys Guys Guys.. your really should be ashamed of yourselves.

What makes you think that some of the people you mentioned werent contacted? Some either haven't replied, or arent interested.

I really hate it when you assume things of this nature, people are approached by myself, after I have spent the time to look over their posts, and allowed the exisiting moderators to present me with objections or suggestions for other mods.

Please be nice, and give lgreenberg a chance.. if your not happy within a month.. then let me know why.

The doubters: If course the GL will do a great job here as he does in HoFo, Treo Central etc. I speak from personal experience: He's fair and keeps the forums tidy and clean.

Best reply yet!! I totally agree with sabesh here...I've been a lurker (and light poster) at HoFo for years and here for awhile as well, and the Green Lantern is as fair as I've seen yet!

Ok, I'm new and noone asked for my opinion, but in my many searches over the last weeks to build knowledge I've found posts from lgreenberg to be consistently polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'm glad he's helping to run things.
