I would like to be able to change the image when I send my 8700 into Lock. When I look at Pictures it only gives me the option to set as Home Page. Any ideas?

.284 keeps your Home Screen image as the lock image. Upgrade your OS if you want.

isn't .284 the latest version of the OS?

maybe you can delete the one it uses .. for mine it's the BBTiles-White.png and then e-mail yourself an image you want to use as the lock screen but name it BBTiles-White.png.

just a thought, haven't tried it yet so don't take my word for it.

Plus there's a little lock next to the default pictures... not sure what that means since I can delete them :o

No.
See the Sticky Thread at the top of the General BlackBerry Discussion forum. Telstra has a newer one.

My answer is still the same. The latest version of the 8700 software is from Telstra.

Actually it isn't the OS that will allow you to choose the lock screen but rather the Theme. Zen makes your wallpaper your lock screen and it does require at least OS .284. Dimension Today does the same and that requires that you run Telstra.
