hey all iam sooo confused i went into verizonwireless today and i saw the 7130e display which was on a usable, however the display had the same os as the 7100g,i etc...i thought that it had verizons ui? becasue when i go to blackberry.com and verizonwireless.com it shows the 7130e having verizon os where as the one in the store had the rim os? can someone confirm that it has the verizon ui or the standard rim ui which is on all the 7100's...thanks.

Blackberrys all use the Blackberry OS. The reason why they look different is becasue of themes. Someone changed the theme at the store. That is why it was different.

It isn't Verizon's OS; it's RIMM's OS. Separate carriers just re-skin the device to make it look like theirs. SOP across the board.

And some of them include a shift and CAPS key...

As has been stated (and is accurate) - RIM writes the OS for the device. The carriers customize the theme.

i know what you guys are sayin let me clerify...

on both BlackBerry.com and Verizonwireless.com the 7130e looks like this: http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/zoom.php?p=755&g=1 see how it has verizon's red border along the top?

but in the verizon store it looked like the version nextel offers, with the 2 blue circles for battery life and signal strength. i know this phone is for iden and not cdma its only to show you what the os looked like on the 7130e from verizon: http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/zoom.php?p=812&g=1

It's just a different theme. It's already in the phone. You can change it from Verizon's theme to that one.
