anyone know if BES4 (with Exchange2003) can handle multiple domain? My company has just merged with another and they have their own BES platform with Exchange 2000. What's the best way of consolidating the two platforms?

I did that myself for a client during an infrastructure analysis.
I have additional info (I'll have to look on my laptop)...but I can send you something. I'll post some links if I can find them...

OK thanks, could you outline why multiple forests topology is not supported? I'm guessing netwrok latency for MAPI protocol and trusts issues.....

Here's a more detailed explaination from a Microsoft perspective..
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/guides/Ex2k3DepGuide/9d790078-0dfb-4684-81b3-2d9d5bf5a0ba.mspx

Though these documents refer to Exchange messaging specifically, once you introduce BES, then the technical constraints that affect Exchange mail in a multiple forest environment will also affect BES servers.
I don't think RIM's docs were very good on explaining why it's not supported.
