I have a 7100t on the 29.99 blackberry add-on plan, grandfathered over from my old 7230. Am I going to get charged for SMS if I use the built in Instant Messaging application? I never switched my plan or contacted tmobile to switch my device from 7230 to 7100t... Can't seem to find a defnitive answer. Thanks!!!
just be sure to set the SMS option to send over GPRS. in which case, no. it will fall under your unlimited data plan.

So that definiitely works, SMS over GPRS bypasses the charge. Cool, that's what I have heard but wasnt positive. Wonder why so many people are using other third party apps for instant messaging...

For some reason SMS over gprs isn't working for me. I get an error even when I just try to compose and SMS message. Any ideas???
