help !!!!!

i just got my 8700c from cingular and all these warnings on the box to not turn on the BB . then , i connect the battery to the 8700c and all of a sudden the freakin thing TURNS ON all by itself !!!! i freaked out and held the on button down .....did i mess this thing up or what ?

I would definetly never turn it on. Not worth the risk. Just leave it off and enjoy.

i understand , but the warnings said to fully charge for 8 hours then turn on only AFTER the full charge to start connecting ..... but this thing just turned on by itself after the battery install .... i dunno ?

It is supposed to do that. Leave the radio off if you want and then charge it. Or leave it on and charge it. Doesnt matter.

Just ignore that. All it means is that the first time you need to charge it you need to do it for 8 hours. Also you need to turn it on to confirm your service with Cingular. Just go ahead and use it now and then put it to rest for 8 hours to take the initial charge.
