I've looked throughout my settings and I can't seem to truly slience the ringer if I don't want to answer the phone. If I hit the convenience or escape key, then it'll silence, but only for one ring and then it'll start ringing again!
My Nokia, Motorola, and LG phones have all had the ability to completely silence a ringing phone by pressing either the power key, or volume key, etc.

Am I missing something?

When the screen pops up when the phone is ringing asking you to "ANSWER" or "IGNORE" and you hit "IGNORE", what happens?

It shunts the call directly to your voicemail.

Ignore sends the caller right to voicemail. I usually don't use this feature as it only tells the caller that I'm aware of their call but choosing not to answer it. Usually, I roll the click-wheel to silence the ringer and send the caller to voicemail after the usual number of rings.

Make sense?

Nope. Rolling my wheel will turn the ringer down, but it still rings!!!!

Sorry -- rolloing my wheel without selecting anything *does* work to kill the ringer, but only when it is not holstered.
I wonder if there is a way to fix that and have the wheel react the same when holstered?

Yep, that's what it does for me as well...

I just set my profiles not to ring when holstered. 3 vibes is enough.

You can mute the ringer volume in Profiles.

you can do one of two things; set your holster profile to off, as if you were carrying it in your pocket, or set your holster profiles to mimic your regular profiles. try those and let me know..
