I've been using my 7100 case for over a month now and I love it!!

Got a quick question for anyone who can help... I recently purchased a really nice looking case online but realized it has a flap which closes with a strong magnet and sits in and around the front of my 7100 screen. Do you think this will impact my device or wipe the memory?

Thanks!

I would seriously doubt it. Many aftermarket cases use magnetized enclosure snaps, plus, it is a magnet which turns off the BB screen when you holster it (using the included nylon holster). The screen switch is located on the back of the BB towards to top of the battery door, so if you are really nervous, simply put the BB in your aftermarket case with the back facing the magnet. It might even line up enough to activate the kill switch for your screen!

From what I understand the deactivation magnet sits around the bottom of the keyboard, this one looks like it will sit around the screen and might be stronger... I think putting it in backwards as you mention might be ok. I am supposed to get it today or tomorrow.

Thanks.

I also sent them an e-mail and they mentioned that the 7100 already has a big magnet in it as it is around the loud speaker.
