I am trying to make some contact groups in my address book. Unfortunately it won't let me save a new group until I add an address. The problem is that when I select add a member it takes me to the address book, and from there I cannot 'select' one to move into the address book. There is supposed to be a 'continue' option but I can't find it for the life of me. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Mike

same problem here. I got many groups in my lotus notes and when I sync my laptop to black berry I don't see any of these groups. Where is it?

I am also having trouble with this with my 8700. I can creat a group but it will not allow me to add more than two members to a group.

Has anyone found a way to fix this or is this how it should be?

What version, BB model, etc are you all using?

I have a 7290, v4.1 and I am able to create a group and add more than 2 people (I tested it with 4). I was successful in naming, saving, and recalling the group.

I am using an 8700g v.4.1.0.284 (platform 2.0.0.120)

I am using the Telstra software on 8700 and have no problem making a new list or adding people to it.

I am having the same problem as the original poster--using the 8700g with the Telstra software (TMO).

Played with it somemore and it does work but it is hit and miss. Some people I can add (get the continue option) and others I can't. Strange...

Only contact that has email address can be added to address group, dunno why.

Looks like that is the key---I guess it makes sense since it is for sending e-mail to groups of people.

Thanks!

If you want to group contact together for viewing only, you can go to your address book, click the wheel and select filter, over there already have two categories "Personal and Business", you can also add your own like "WORK", then edit individual contact and you can assign it to the category.

The original reason I wanted to make groups was so that I could assign the groups their own ringtones. I've accomplished this I but it's not as easy as it should be.
