I recently switched from a 7100t to a 7100g and switched carriers too. On the old carrier with the 7100t, when I received a voice mail, it displayed a nice little symbol just below and to the left of the digital time display. My new one (7100g) sends me an email which isn't as noticeable to me. Is there a way to activate a symbol that shows you have voice mail or is this something the carrier (comm company) activates?

On another issue, I saw a post on another thread regarding the noise issue while talking on the unit and this has been a prob for me from day one, both units. I also talk on the phone a lot (Realtor) and I have a husky voice, especially toward the end of the day. Is there a way to turn up the mic sensitivity on the unit?

Thanks for any assistance...

Wirelessly posted (7130e VZW: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I think it's carrier specific. On my 7100i it only displayed the voice mail icon. On my 7130e it displays the same voice mail icon as the 7100i and I get a text message.

Wish I knew for sure. I'd like to change what I can change. I'm following up on voice mails way late every day, sometimes a couple of days later.

I get the icon for voice mail on my 7130e but there is no reminder so I could completely miss a voice mail for days. Anyone find a way to get a reminder?8-)

You could use something like Notify or METAmessage to generate a reminder for voicemails being notified by email or SMS - they won't make the voicemail icon appear, but can generate very annoying reminders!
