What is the best way to clean body oils off of the screen of my 7290? I tried using a cloth made for computer screens but it does not work all that well.

I tried a computer screen cleaner too - didn't work.

My best solution is an eye glass cloth. You can get them from any optician..

Where I work we have these little Wet Napkin things for cleaning safety glasses. Works great.

Seriously, use Scotch tape. Press Scotch tape onto the screen for 1-sec then pull off slowly, works like a charm on all LCD-type panels...

Great -- I will try this. I have been trying to get a fine mist of hairspray off mine for about a year now. Thanks :-)

Got to be carefull

I use a microfiber cloth. Using your t-shirt or other fabric will sooner or later damage the antiglare finish on the 75xx series. I have seen it many times. As far as the 8700, the plastic screen is much softer and even using a microfiber cloth will lead to tiny micro scratches in the long run.

I find that I just need to replace my Blackberry every year or so as it gets one heck of alot of use. Anything that you carry on your person and sue everyday will not look new forever.

I can tell you what NOT to use... I used a cleanser for my laptop screen and it was terrible on the BB. It made the screen very "foggy" and I could never reverse that. I eventually replaced the BB (not because of that), but the lesson was learned.

I put a screen protector that I had left over from my last pda on the screen. Doesnt distort color any, and I'm not worried about face grease or scratches. Of course, I'm definitly not worried about makeup on mine!

UFB! i cant believe the scotch tape works..

i expected it to stick like a mofo.. it comes off kinda like saran wrap..

my screen looks sweet again.. the screen is made of something
that the tape does not want to stick to.. it did an awesome job :)

Microfiber cloths are what I recommend as well. One name brand is "Miracle Cloth"

Nice post newbie!

This is flipping sweet (for all you Napoleon Dynamite fans)! I seriously thought that it wasn't going to work.

When I had one of these at my old job each phone that I worked on would get a wipe. Everyone always said their phone looked brand new when they got it back.

I think my OCD is coming out with this tape thing! I clean my screen at the beginning of work and at the end of the day! I'm going to go through tape pretty fast!
