Lots of threads on this topic.

$19.99/mo. additional. And yes, it includes internet.

hmn i read everything over and am still not 100% convinced. all the people say there will be no problem but the one tmobile rep mentioned that there will be roaming charges if you use the bb for other than email. my problem is that i will use the blackberry mostly outside of the usa ... i wonder if they would catch on or if they have something saying must have certain % of time in usa or something? if anyone knows the bottom line please try to explain :P thanks

Try calling T-Mo and getting it unlocked then, or pay a third party to unlock it. Other than that as DC/DC said you can choose the international plan. I wish I had another option to offer, but that is all I know about.

I signed up for the int'l plan and used both email and IP apps while in Mexico. Everything worked fine, and the rep also told me that only the email was covered. But, when I looked on my last bill, I didn't think they charged me for the web browsing/IM/google local/etc usage.

The rep told me that the OLD plan included everything, and that the NEW plan only covers email. YMMV

hehe well now, still complex. i dont spend much time in the usa so if i get charged i'm completely screwed. i dont know if this is an error with them or if they truly wont charge me.

I used my BB with Unlm. BB plan in the UK for over 3 mos, and never incurred any extra charges for Browsing, Pocket Day, and Verichat IM.

hmn now 3 months is something else :) . i think i will signup as soon as possible. when converted to CAD with the international unlimited im still paying less than the $65CAD rogers charges for their crappy 25 megs. i'd rather have my 8700 with data for less and carry around some little mini phone for phone calls.

Just talked to a TMO CS rep and he said the NEW int'l data plans for $19.99/mo.
ONLY INCLUDES EMAIL.

Any sort of browsing is $15/meg. Still trying to calculate how much 1meg consists of??????

It may be different when you are connected to a BES and have MDS for internet vs. BIS and uses the WAP gateway for internet.

well here it is :D :

Thank you for contacting T-Mobile. My name is Sherryl, and I would be happy to assist you today.

On April 10, 2006, you wrote to ask if international roaming with T-Mobile includes data. I know how important it is to stay connected while traveling on business. You will be happy to know that it does. The only restriction on data is whether the country you are in has providers that support GPRS.

We also have a variety of data plans, and Blackberry plans to meet the needs of business people on the go. If you need voice plus data, or just data coverage, we have plans to help you stay in touch. So for example, you might decide on BlackBerry Minutes & Mail (BIS) Rate Plan for $59.99, which gives you:
" 1000 whenever minutes
" Unlimited text messages
" Unlimited GPRS internet access
" Unlimited BIS (individual) email access
We also have a plan for those who need to access Corporate sites with the extra security protocols entailed. The BlackBerry Minutes & Mail (BIS & BES) Rate Plan is $69.99 and adds Unlimited BES (Corporate) E-mail.

Also, if you wish to retain your old phone number, we can arrange to have it ported in for you, and have your old Cingular account closed as well.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again, either by email quoting case # 1347945. Our number is 1-800-937-8997 from any phone. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.

Thank you for considering T-Mobile, Aleksandar. We appreciate your interest. Have a great day!

Sincerely,

I:ve had the BB 2 months, travel extensiely around Europe and Asia, use BES and BIS data, tethering, and still no extra charges on my bill (sshhhh). I'll be trying Thailand tomorrow. Thankfully, Thai has EDGE! Most European 3G carriers don't.
