Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

So I've had BBWeatherinstalled for a few weeks, and it seems like it tends to be wrong a lot (rain when it's clearly sunny, temps off by 10+ degrees). My location is New York. It might just be due to the update cycle (very early morning and late evening).

Enough rambling: I feel like a web-based weather tool is better. Any way to get virtual 1-click access to latest xonditions and forecast? What web site (or app if you love one) is best?

Thanks...

Not sure if this will work on a BB, I use it on my Razr.(I don't own a BB yet)
Try www.my-cast.com
It is very accurate and has a real nice user interface.
Oh....and it's free!

BBWeather gets updates from Weather.Com.
If Weather.com is wrong, well, BBWeather will be wrong.

I really find that for web weather the NOAA site is accurate. Here the link for Truckee CA. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/CAZ072.php?warncounty=CAC057&city=Truckee. Change it to your local.

Geek.

In all seriousness, we know I am the bigger geek. I used my new Beiks Acronym application on my blackberry to remember what NOAA stood for-

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

God! No wonder the women don't like me

So far, I've found bbweather to be pretty acurate. I have the major cities logged in, and add cities that I'll travel to before hand. Just wish I could figure out how to get the cities I enter to be listed in alphabetical order.

Bought this on HANDANGO and really like it, info at
wxsys
you'll have to complete the web address since I was informed I can't post URL's yet.
Maybe more than some folks need though, and of course not free.

I use a local doppler map. Weather forecasts are quite useless in Houston as weather conditions can change very quickly.

JournalBar is available for your weather needs - http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=29126&highlight=journal+bar

Also, I prefer the weather settings in PocketDay Pro. Works just fine for me.

When I try and connect using BBweather I get an error stating a tunnel cannot be opened. I am on my companies BES but have Internet access via the html and wap browsers. Any help would be appreciated

Try unchecking the MDS proxy box.

I did and it still did not work. Does it only work on the 7100? I have an 8700 and the release notes state it is for the 7100.
