Hiding "unhidable" ribbon apps

is there a utility/workaround that would allow me to hide apps in the ribbon which are otherwise unhideable. Such as messages, lock, turn wireles off, and turn off the berry?

you can hide the messages icon. Sometimes my bb lets me hide everything and sometimes it doesn't. It seems it depends on the theme I am using at the time determines if I can hide or not.
