inbox and BES with a new BB

One of my users picked up a new 8700c to replace his 7290. I set him up in BES 4.0 for Exchange and enterprise activation worked fine, his Address Book and contacts are on the new 8700c.

What didn't move over though was his old e.mails from his Inbox. Is there a way to push old e.mails from the BES Manager app to his new 8700c?

He is able to receive and send new e.mails, but he'd like to have his old e.mails back on the handheld.

you could try to do a back up of the 7290 and restore it onto the 8700 but I'm not sure that will work since they're different models.
Did it not download any messages at all? Default should be 5 days but can be changed to 7 days, or even to 14 days if you change some registry keys; check the release notes for service pack 3 hotfix 2 I believe it is.
