Simple question about 7100v

I have a vodafone 7100 and I love it. But there is one little usability question I have which I am sure you will be able to deal with rapidly. Sometimes while typing a text message I notice a mistake I have made a few lines above. How do I scroll through previously written text to get to the mistake without deleting all that has come after the mistake?

Hold down the Alt key (the one with the arrows pointing up and down, bottom left of keypad) and then use the scroll wheel to move around.

I found this out by accident. I noticed typos and couldn't figure out how to get back to the text to correct it.
