Does anyone else have a problem using local google on the tmobile 8700?

I get an error stating it can't download the maps, check your network connection.

I have it installed on a 8700c using Tmobile and have not had any issues. Did you check your browser configuration?? Make sure you have all of the check boxes checked.

Browser has nothing to do with the Google Local app.

Options > Advanced Options > Applications > Google Local > Edit Permissions

Make sure All of the options under connections are set to allow.

This seems to be what he's talking about. I haven't tried it myself.

If you are not on a BES, you need your APN settings correct for your carrier to access the internet. In my tips doc, I have them for some carriers.

Forgot about that.

For T-Mobile, which I assume you have with an 8700g, enter wap.voicestream.com in the APN box in TCP/IP settings.

I'll give it a try. The bookmarking feature seems nice.
