Apologies if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find the answer.
Do you get charged for SMS messages sent/recieved if you have a T-Mobile Unlimited BlackBerry data plan?

Yes. You can purchase on optional Text Messaging plan, or i believe it's 10 cents to send and receive independent messages w/o plan. This is in addition to the Data Plan that you have purchased for your blackberry.

Your answer is incorrect. Unlimited Blackberry Data contains 300 free domestic SMS.

According to TMobile.com, you get unlimited text messaging.

if the link doesn't work, select plans, blackberry plans, unlimited and it will say "Included Text Messages: Unlimited"

Be sure to carefully read. Blackberry "minutes and mail" plans include text messages. Blackberry "add-on" plans do not.

Personally, I don't know why anyone would choose one of these plans. For $79.99 I currently receive the Get More 1500 with n/w ($49.99), Blackberry unlimited add-on plan ($19.99), and 1000 text massages ($9.99). As you can see, all this add's up to be $79.96 and I receive 600 additional text messages. Gotta look into your options before you go jumping into plans.

But why are you getting 600 additional text messages?

How did you get that? I pay $49.99 for Get More 1000 with n/w. How did you get the extra 500 minutes for the same price?

Because the Blackberry with Minutes plan for $79.99 includes 400 text messages. I am paying $79.96 and included in that price is the 1000 text messages for $9.99, which in the end gives me 600 extra text messages.
As far as the other question goes, I got the Get More 1500 for $49.99 when I signed up for T-Mobile in December. I thought I read that they brought it back recently, am I wrong? They had the get more 1500 with NO n/w for $39.99. The 1500 WITH n/w was $10 more at $49.99.

It was a promo plan, try calling and getting it switched if you can. It was posted on the T-Mobile website. My wife has the same plan, but I'm not sure if you can still get it.

I get the same "unlimited text" on my.t-mobile.com. I left my 1K text plan active but the BIS plan does seem to come with unlimited texts.
I am going to call and confirm before cancelling but this appears correct.

Ah, I misread the page, it says any 400 messages under the "optional" heading. Can anyone confirm this plan having unlimited text messaging? If so, I will change to this plan and get unlimited texting....
