Or did someone do this by hand?

The WAP forum is a 3rd party addon to the existing forum software called WiForums (http://www.wiforums.net/). Its not the greatest, but options are limited. unfortunatley wiforums is one of the better services....

if you know what you are doig you can code it by hand..its alot of work thouhg
