Is Telenav any good for the Blackberry 8700c. I travel often to Texas and need a good GPS program. I want to sell my Siemens SX66 but if the GPS is crappy on the blackberry I can't sell it because I need it to travel. I will keep my GPS bluetooth unit but I'm wondering how the software on the Blackberry phone works well or not?

Telenav works great. Spend $10.00 and try it for yourself.

Will Telenav work on the 8700g?

I have the same question as above: Has anyone gotten TeleNav to work on a TMobile 8700g? Their site only shows support for the 7105t. I'm dying for a good GPS via BT receiver solution.

Just checked with Telenav, it has had a few crash problems on the 8700c. The have not yet released Telenav for the 8700g yet according to the Telenav group forum.

I have been using Telenav with Pharos iGPS-BT, on TMO-8700g without problems.
One must update the TCP APN: to wap.voicestream.com.

The version for the 7105t works, then, on the 8700g? Thanks.

We use the Telenav on an 8700g through T-Mo and changed the APN - but the APN often disappears all by itself - anyone else ever see this or know how to fix it? Yes we do save after change...

I am confused here. I really want to have GPS for my car. I also have the blackberry 8700G. Do i have to purchase a seperate device for the blackberry or is the GPS already built inside the blackberry? Please advise!

8700g does not have GPS built in.

Looks like it is possible to interface with an external GPS unit using Bluetooth, and that some people are reporting success with some GPS units and GPS software.

When using Telenav + 8700g + Pharos iGPS-BT:
Enter GPS RFcom in Telenav settings for GPS device.
That is the Service name on the BB for the Pharos iGPS-BT
